More Options for Your
Family's Future.
For globally minded Hong Kong families, a second citizenship can provide greater mobility, educational opportunities and long-term flexibility.
Why Hong Kong families seek strategic citizenship.
The families we serve — business owners, professionals, internationally mobile households — are not planning to leave. They are planning to have choices. Quietly securing a second sovereign foothold for the next generation.
The most resilient families create options before they need them.
Children's Education
Hong Kong families increasingly seek international educational pathways for their children. A second citizenship removes visa friction and opens Commonwealth schooling and university systems.
International Mobility
For families with business interests, property or relatives abroad, a second passport streamlines travel, residency and cross-border arrangements across multiple jurisdictions.
Family Optionality
The most resilient families create options before they need them. A second citizenship is not about leaving Hong Kong — it is about having choices available for future generations.
Global Opportunities
Commonwealth membership, Pacific positioning and bilateral access open conversations and corridors that a single passport may not readily provide.
Resilience & Contingency Planning
Circumstances evolve. Families who hold sovereign optionality in multiple jurisdictions are better positioned to respond to political, economic or regulatory shifts with flexibility rather than urgency.
International Business Flexibility
For entrepreneurial families with cross-border interests, a Commonwealth citizenship provides additional jurisdictional choice for banking, corporate structures and investment deployment.

"Optionality, secured in advance of need, is the quietest form of wealth."
The benefits of Vanuatu citizenship.
A Commonwealth nation. A legislated programme. A discreet jurisdiction.
Family Mobility
A second passport provides Hong Kong families with greater freedom of movement across 107+ destinations, reducing reliance on a single travel document.
Education Pathways
Children with dual citizenship gain access to international schooling, Commonwealth universities and broader educational pathways without restrictive visa requirements.
No Residency Requirement
No obligation to live in Vanuatu at any stage. Families continue their lives in Hong Kong uninterrupted while holding a second nationality.
Full Family Inclusion
Spouse, dependent children and qualifying parents may be included in a single, considered application — securing optionality for the entire family unit.
International Access
Visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to the United Kingdom, Singapore, Malaysia and across the Commonwealth and Asia-Pacific region.
Family Diversification
Spreading family documentation across jurisdictions reduces single-point-of-failure risk and creates procedural flexibility for future generations.
Long-Term Planning
Multi-generational families increasingly consider where heirs may live, study and operate. Securing optionality today is the most valuable inheritance.
Contingency Planning
A quiet strategic reserve held in advance of circumstance — the ability to adapt should political, economic or personal conditions change.
Clients should always seek independent legal advice regarding their personal circumstances, particularly concerning PRC nationality considerations for Chinese nationals holding Hong Kong permanent residency.

A second citizenship is about options.
A second citizenship does not replace your current citizenship.
It creates additional opportunities for future generations —
more flexibility, more security, more pathways for the family to adapt and thrive.
A passport is paperwork. A second nation is a posture.

Frequently asked by Hong Kong families.
- 01Can Hong Kong residents obtain Vanuatu citizenship?
- Yes. Hong Kong residents — including HKSAR and BN(O) passport holders — are eligible to apply for Vanuatu citizenship by investment, subject to due diligence and source-of-funds review. The process is conducted entirely under Vanuatu law.
- 02Does acquiring Vanuatu citizenship affect my Hong Kong permanent residency?
- No. Vanuatu citizenship is acquired without disturbing Hong Kong permanent residency status. Most clients continue to live, work and maintain their businesses in Hong Kong.
- 03Can my entire family be included in one application?
- Yes. A single application may include the principal applicant, their spouse, dependent children and qualifying dependent parents. Family inclusion is one of the programme's most valued features for Hong Kong principals.
- 04Do we need to live in Vanuatu?
- No. There is no residency requirement before, during or after the application. There is no obligation to visit Vanuatu at any stage. Most families continue their daily lives in Hong Kong.
- 05How long does the process take?
- Once a file is complete and submitted, processing typically takes 45 to 60 days. File preparation — due diligence collation, source-of-funds documentation and certified translations — usually requires a further 4 to 8 weeks beforehand.
- 06What about PRC nationality considerations?
- The PRC Nationality Law does not recognise dual nationality for Chinese nationals. Hong Kong permanent residents who are Chinese nationals should obtain qualified legal advice on how acquiring a foreign citizenship interacts with their status. We are happy to refer you to specialist counsel.
- 07Can the process be completed from Hong Kong?
- Yes. The full process — engagement, document assembly, due diligence and oath — can be completed remotely from Hong Kong. Physical presence in Vanuatu is not required.
- 08What educational advantages does Vanuatu citizenship provide?
- Vanuatu citizens enjoy visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to the UK, Singapore, Malaysia and across the Commonwealth. Children may access Commonwealth universities under domestic or preferential fee structures, and international schooling pathways become more straightforward without restrictive visa requirements.
