Vanuatu Citizenship Act, Cap. 112 →

A second citizenship isn't automatically the right answer. Vanuatu isn't designed to replace your US citizenship, and it isn't primarily about maximising visa-free travel.

It may make sense if you're looking for additional citizenship, family optionality or a Plan B, without relocating.

And if we don't believe it's appropriate for your circumstances, we'll tell you.

Could Vanuatu be right for you?

Your private assessment looks at three things.

  1. 01

    Fit

Whether Vanuatu makes sense given your objectives.

  2. 02

    Practicality

Whether you appear likely to meet the programme requirements.

  3. 03

    Alternatives

Whether there may be a better solution for your circumstances.

If we don't think Vanuatu is right for you, we'll tell you.

Your information stays confidential. It is reviewed by our Principal Advisory Team and is not used for marketing or passed to third parties. No application is made and no payment is taken at this stage.

International Optionality

A second citizenship can provide additional options for you and your family as your circumstances change.

No Residency Requirement

You do not need to relocate to Vanuatu or maintain residence there.

Family Options

Eligible family members can generally be included, subject to programme rules.

Biometrics. Flexible and accessible worldwide.

The required biometric data can, depending on availability, be collected in Dubai, Hong Kong, Vanuatu, or through a mobile on-site service. Our team coordinates the right option for you.

Important for US Citizens

A second citizenship does not automatically change your US tax obligations. US citizens generally remain subject to US tax rules regardless of a second citizenship. Speak with a qualified US tax adviser about your individual circumstances.

Before you decide

A few questions worth asking before you take the next step.

Why would I need a second citizenship if I already have a US passport?+

If your only objective is additional visa-free travel, Vanuatu may not add enough to justify the investment.

The potential value is different: an additional nationality, family optionality and a Plan B that does not require you to give up your existing citizenship or relocate.

Is Vanuatu primarily about visa-free travel?+

No.

Vanuatu should not be considered simply as a way to obtain additional visa-free travel. Its potential value is more closely related to second citizenship, family optionality, international mobility and having an additional nationality available if circumstances change.

If maximising visa-free travel is your primary objective, we will tell you if we don't believe Vanuatu is the right fit.

What happens if my application isn't approved?+

Approval is never guaranteed.

Applications are subject to government due diligence and the final decision of the Vanuatu Citizenship Commission.

Before any formal application is made, we review your circumstances and documentation carefully to identify potential issues.

Any treatment of fees or contributions following a non-approval is subject to the applicable Vanuatu government rules at the time.

What if my circumstances are complicated?+

International families often have multiple residences, businesses, investments or sources of wealth across jurisdictions.

Complexity does not automatically mean you are ineligible. It does mean your circumstances should be assessed individually before you commit to an application.

Our role is to understand your situation first and help you determine whether Vanuatu is worth exploring.

How private is the process?+

Your initial enquiry is reviewed confidentially by our Principal Advisory Team.

No application is made at this stage and no payment is taken simply because you submit an enquiry.

We explain the next step before anything further happens.

Can I speak with someone before providing detailed information?+

Yes.

If you have questions or would prefer to understand the process before completing the form, you can contact us privately first.
